Starry Shrug

I made this shrug ages ago, but apparently never blogged it. Which is a shame, because it may be one of my favorite, easy wear items that I have made. It is the perfect thing to throw over a sleeveless dress for that extra bit of coverage.

Yarn: Skirted Fleece Mill Spellbound in Astronomy & Regia Silk 4-fädig (Uni / Solid)
Yarn Supplier: a local fiber market  & Windsor Button (closed) respectively
Needles: US 6/4.0mm
Pattern: Hiddensee by Christiane Burkhard

The blue yarn had a thread of sparkle in it that is lovely. I bought it from skirted Fleece Mill at a local fiber market in Western MA. And you can't see the Regia silk, since I used it for the inside of the turned hems, but it is soft and lovely there.

And I love this pattern. The turned hems are the perfect finishing touch. It has lovely lines. The short rows in the lower back are clever and result in a great fit. I really should make this pattern again!

That's such a pretty piece! It's nice to see it again. :)
