Rhinebeck Yarn Recap

It has been about a year since I had any yarn purchases, so I can't feel *too* guilty for adding to the stash.

The solid blue and green skeins of fingering weight are from Dirty Water Dyeworks, which I was amused to discover is literally down the street. I have plans to make a Catkin Shawl with it, which I have loved every time I have seen one.

The really boring slate grey-brown natural wool is from Greenwood Hill Farm, whose mission I really respect a lot. (You can get more information on their yarns in their online store.) Salvbard is looking to get a new warm hat, possibly the Camel and Polworth Hat (Ravelry link) from Interweave Knit & Spin, 2011 Special Edition.

And finally their is a ball of super long color repeat lace-weight, called Ombré Lace in the colorway Atlantis, by Freia Fibers. No idea what I am going to make with it yet, but I am super excited about it. The color stretches are so long (about 5 changes over 645 yards) that I think it would be nifty to crochet with, but I have also seen a number of beautiful knit shawls with yarns that are similar.
