Something Bright Amid the Snow

Another Monday in Boston, and so it it time for another major snow storm. I had cast on a bright pair of Water for Elephants socks (free Ravelry download) to offset the world of white and gray outside.

Not only did the MBTA close down rail service at 7pm today, but it will also be down tomorrow Tuesday 2/10/15.

Resistance Mitten One

Like much of New England, we have had many days indoors recently due to snow. This was great motivation to work on a pair of colorwork mittens. One is done and I a started on the second.

The pattern is Ingress Resistance Mittens by Alysania (free Ravelry download). Ingress is a mobile phone game that gets you out walking around. We have been playing for over a year, and it has been a great excuse to move more, see new places, and meet some great people.

I will be glad to get out and playing again, but in the meantime, the next best is making something to keep my hands warm. Stay safe out there!
