Temperature blanket - July 2018 edition

I have a friend who has been desperately waiting for red to show up more. Red represents an average daily temperture in the 80s *F. Well July 2018 was that time!

2018 temperature blanket - Christmas edition

The temperature blanket for 2018 is fairly large and awkward to travel with at this point. Clearly that hasn't stopped me though.

On the plus side it does keep my lap warm.

Still it was good to make some progress, and I had some fantastic kitty help.

2018 Thankful Tree

Last week, we continued our tradition of doing a Thankful Tree, which we have done ever year since the original post in 2011. Majes kindly hunted down a branch for us, and I had prepped the "leaves."

The big change this year was moving away from acrylic paint and acrylic yarn, in an effort to be more sustainable.

It makes me glad every time I pass it in the house.
